Send Money With Zelle

To enroll in Zelle at GHAFCU, you must be at least 18 years old and have:

  • A valid U.S. mobile number or an email address only one can be used.
  • An active GHAFCU checking or savings account open for at least 10 days.
  • Accounts that are in good standing.
  • Location services for GHAFCU Mobile App enabled in your phone settings.

How does Zelle work?

it's easy-just enroll with Zelle through the GHAFCU Mobile App and link your account to your U.S. Mobile number or email address. When you are ready to send money, you can add a trusted recipient from your contact list or add a new one. If the person you sent money to is not already enrolled, they will receive a notification with instructions on how to enroll to receive your rmoney. If they are already enrolled with Zelle, the money is sent directly to their bank account and cannot be canceled. That is why it is always a good idea to verify the email address or U.S.mobile number before sending and to only send to someone you know and trust. The person you are sending to must have a bank account in the U.S. to receive money, the money you send and  receive will be available within minutes.

I received a notification that someone sent me money. What if I do not enroll in Zelle?

If you do not enroll in Zelle, you cannot send, receive or request money with Zelle. If someone sends you money and you do not enroll with Zelle within 14 days, the payment will expire, and you will not receive the money.

Are there limits to sending money?

Yes GHAFCU sets these limits and allows you to send $1,000.00 in a 24 hour period or $3,000.00 in a month.
